Whats up. …i mean hola
Ok so polly wants to know about me, ya i dont realy know what to tell. The weather is cooling down, there are still hot days and freak thunderstorms. We just walk in the rain, i really need to buy an umbrella, i usually just mooch off my comp’s or get wet. The feet are holding up, my brown shows are holey a little and i bought little insole thingys but there dying fast. We all have acne here, thats fun, haha its just so humid or hot that we're sweaty alot, im sure everyone wanted to know that one. My hair is longer, i throught i had lost weight but then we found a scale and im the same, haha, its hard to work out in the morning here cuz there are 5 of us in the same house and we have an hour and a half to get ready and out so some of us have to shower at night and working out doesnt happen, but we have started to go running in the morning. Today we went to see “el cristo” its a huge statue on the mountain, it was cool. Usually we end up playing soccer on p-days. Umm the other day we were teaching a recient convert and her grandma was there listening, she isnt a member but ive talked to her a bunch before. And after we asked her a question and she said she hadn't understood, becasue “ no habla ingles” hahaha, yep we were speaking spanish! but the recent convert knew what we were saying so its all good.
This week was a little slower but still good, i finally understand the difference between vos and usted/ tu . but there already things that i say in vos that i didnt know were vos, so im gonna come back speaking it anyway. For those of you who have no clue what im talking about vos is how people in argentina and uruguay and maybe a few other but not many countrys talk in the “ you” form, it has a completly different conjagation of words and a different empasis on words. Yep fun.
we are still finding and teaching, this week we found lisandro, its kind funny cuz there is an apt of college guys that we knocked once and taught lesson 1 to the guy in the door, then he said that one of our recient converts lived there too. ( that was a while ago) so this week we went so see that guy but he wasnt there and every time this other guy answered, and so the last time i asked if we could teach him, and we did. It was a cool lesson becsaue he liestend and considered what we were saying and i could tell it shook him up a little, it got him questioning what he had been taught growing up, i like when this happens. It means they felt the truth and are confused by it becasue thev never heard it before. I have hope for him.
All is well, im excited for conference and to listen to the prophet, i talk about him everyday now i get to listen to him! I love you all and i love hearing how everyone is doing, stay strong, keep the faith!
Les amo! Hermana hanson
