halo! ( thats how the chilenos do)
wow, crazy week, crazy slow and fast all at the same time. we had 2 baptisms this last saturday, 2 kids, ulises and pato ( patricia) they are both 11 and awesome kids, ulises has been wanting to be baptized for about a year now but never had permission, his grandma is a member and takes him to church but he never had the permission from his parents. and pato is his neighbor. it was a really special baptisim his grandma gave a talk and i use to think she was kind of a grumpy strict old lady, hehe, but when she gave her testimony i could feel the love she had for her grandchildren and see a little of why the way how she is and respect her for it, i know she loves those kids like her own and she wants the best for them, and she has a strong testimony of the Church and of Christ, it was just really special for her to see him be baptized and start on the path back to our Father in Heaven. now we are going to work on the other 3 :) they are all really close.
we are still teaching our old man investigator, :) ! i love this man, he tells the most random stories in the middle of teaching and he is trying to learn how to sing but he has to point out the words note for note, he used to say that he didnt know how to pray, but now when we ask him to pray he just says ok, and then he does, but when he prays he talks with his Heavenly Father, he prays to learn more, to be able to share this message that has help him not feel so lonely with others so that they can be happy too, he prays to see his daughter again, because his family left him when he started drinking, and he prays that he can change. he doesnt understand everything, but he feels the Spirit and he sees the change its made in his life. and all he did was pray, read the Book of Mormon and go to Church, and the change happened on its own, ok not really, it hapened through the Holy Ghost that now has the opportunity to be in his life and help him feel this love of his Father in Heaven. but its nothing we did, we just told him what to do, he´s the one that did it. but i know. i know with all my heart that the only way to have faith in this life, the faith to be heald, to keep going and return to our Father starts with prayer and the Book of Mormon. above all, first we need have faith, and that faith is gained through obedience and if its hard to be obedient we need to pray and read untill we can follow Christ and be obedient. its the only way.
i love seeing this change in people and i know its true. its the only real happiness that lasts forever! forever forever, not just until you die forever.
