this week we are planning on having 3 more baptisims of little kids, well 2 are 11 and the other is 14, but they too have been waiting a long time to be baptised and have been going to the church for ever just never had permission from their parents and now they do. its cool becasue the branch has been helping us more and more lately.
so the older man that i told to go to church rocks. haha he came again yesterday. and to the baptisim on saturday. the members are really friendly to him and everyone asks who he is which is great becasue he lives alone and needs a family. its a funny old man, he talks alot and will just randomly go into stories about his life if there is a pause in the lessons, it just keeps us on our toes ready to draw it back to the point. :) but he is learning and wants to keep learning, he is reading the book of mormon and learning to pray, his prayers are my favorite, he alwayssays he doesnt know how so we have to re-explain that its just how you feel and from the heart and then he does and they are always tender and timid, but they come from the heart, he wants to change before he turns 80 because he says after 80 its too late to change :) ( not ture) its great to see him happy in the church where he has people to talk to and support him. he is changing, little by little, he has stopped drinking, still hasnt drank since the day before he came to church the first time. its fun to watch him learn, and he is learning. im still amazed that he came the first time, i thought i was kinda harsh to him but i didnt know what else to do but i guess its what he needed to hear, he just needed someone to believe in him. i love the gospel of Jesus Christ, that gives people the opportunity to feel loved and safe. i know that it is throught the love of our Savior Jesus Christ that we are able to feel the peace the comes from knowing that we have a purpose in this life. and that there is more after.
i can express in words how much i love this gospel, i love learning about it and sharing it with others. i love my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. i invite you all to go figure out and understand truely why we call Him our Savior. from what are we saved? and how? and then we will be able to know Him a little bit more.
thank you all for your love and support.
te quiero! hermana hanson!
