we went on a hike today! for p-day with 10 other missionaries in our district. way awesome, i will try to send pics next time. so the little town thats in our area, san antonio, we went there yesterday to teach this lady and were reminded how beautiful it is, so we askeda round to see if there were hikes we could go on. it was way fun, and everyone was safe, haha. and yes i wore my ankel brace :)
i cant believe laura turns 12 that soon, wierd! i dont like people growing up, that means she gets to go to girls camp! yaa! sorry. you people want mission stories, haha it was a weird week,
we had everyone saying they were reading and praying, it was awesome, we had a ton of people progressing, but then sunday comes, and how many of them come to church? ya none. harsh.
sunday was good and bad, it was fast sunday and we wanted to get people to church, so we were out way early and finding our invsetigators and still none of them came! so i wasn't the happiest person at church. but at church we had the choir of our sake come sing, they are pretty good. and it about doubled our ward, but alot of them gave awesome testimonies, and then acouple of our members did too, and it helped me remember that after i leave the work will still go on, that our father in heaven has a plan and what needs to happen will happen, and my investigators will gain testimonies when it is there time to. it just all got put back into perspective, that i am here to share the gospel, they will change when they decide to, not that im giving up, im still working, this was just a answer to my frustration. i remembered that its not my that teaches but its the spirit, weather or not they feel it is up to them if they want to open their hearts.
its hard to see people feel the spirit touch people and then see them deny that feeling. the excuse we get the most is that " they respect us" but dont want to change, haha or that every religion is good becasue all we need to so it believe and have faith and be good people. but there is so much more that needs to be done, and is we do it we are offered everything! our father in heaven wants to give us an eternal life of happieness with our families by his side, and he has it all planned out, we have all the tools on this earth to have this. we just need to fallow him, and he really doesnt ask much, espically becasue everything we already have in this life is a gift from him. even the weird apple water that i just drank because im parched from out hike :)
this isnt the easiest thing iv ever done but im gald im able to learn so much i never realised before about life and the scriptures. i love the book of mormon, it really does answer all questions in this life. but alot of people here are catholic and know the bible, and i know nothing of the bible! i have barely any knowledge of the old testiment, so i want to read it and learn these stories, my camp knows them pretty well so she is going to help me.
As far as investigators we have alot who were progressing until they didnt come to church, we talked woth our zone leader and he said we should just focus of the couple who are the closest to baptisim. so this is what we will do, nancy was sapost to get baptised this week but she didnt make it to church this week cuz she got really sick, so we had to push it back, but now she feels a little nervous and not prepared so we will keep working with her, she really is a amazing personand she has a testimony in the prophet and the book of mormon, she says she doesnt feel that strong joy or desire to be baptised. but she will! :)
its the little things that are the easiest to forget, like just remembering that this is our father in heavens work and we need to constantly be listening to him and having the faith that we will be guided in what we need to do, we are so use to just living and getting into habbits that its the easiest thing to forget but its the most important thing to remember.
I love my family, i hope my learnings can help ustedes tambiƩn. We are already have way through this transfer, again, crazy how fast it goes. I have some pictures but i have to remember to being my cord when we come to the caber ( its where we email.) any more questions? I love you all!!! Have a great year. Hhaha
Te amo, hermana hanson
