hope

hola queridos! mi familia y los demas, les quiero!

just to start out, everyone needs to go call jenny fowles! today is her birthday! she is 23,  and i did not forget! mwahahaha

the weeks are flying by, ok realy its only been 2 weeks but it still goes by fast. its fun to train, sometimes its not as fun, but i like that my comp trusts me, she is in a new country and doesnt speak the language so she looks to me for help and she does what i tell her to, haha. ok that sounds horrible! but i dont do mean things to her like teach her to say dumb things. only the elders do that. haha. but she is awesome. we laugh about the bugs and she is getting better. but the coolest part is that i can see myself, how i was when i first started in here. the feeling that we need to be better, i remember in my journal i was always writing out how i needed to improve and all the things i wasnt doing, then the stress of feeling that i wasnt ever doing enough becasue i coundt speak the language. its crazy and it happens to everyone, i thought i was alone but i love that  i can help her through it now. its tough to start this crazy ride but once we get going the only way to go is up ( thats spiritually speaking of course)  its cool to actually see for myself the change that people keep telling me that ive had.

my comp was asking me how she could get past these feelings and love the work, skip the hard stuff, haha. but it really just comes when we forget about ourselves and serve the people here. its when we think about ourselves that its hard. i think thats why its so hard to start out, we are so used to always living for ourselves and working for ourselves that switching and trying to do everything for anyone but yourself is hard! haha and im not saying im pro at this, i still have my days that i the selfish thoughts come back but we just have to keep working. i love having a good song in my head, usually its "come thou fount", thats the one i use to get re-focused. so im just rambling cuz i dont know what to say.

today we were studying hope. i like hope. sometimes its hard to tell the difference between hope and faith, its always been confusing to me. i think today i opened that one up a little more, that hope is what keeps us going. its the reason i kept teaching the other day when i felt like i was getting no where cuz i had to teach it on my own and we were next to the street so i felt like i was yelling. but i knew that if i kept going and didnt just give up that the Spirit would come and testify of what i was trying to say. hope is what helps us not give up or get discouraged because we know that it will be ok, and it will be ok because Our Father in Heaven has promised us that it will be, when we are obedient. so we have the hope that He will help us becasue He loves us and we love Him, so we keep going and keep working, rain or sun or lots of sweat, we keep working. and through hope that we are doing our best and that good things will come out of our efforts we grow our faith.  that faith is grown through obedience, and we are obedient to show our love for Our Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. its a crazy cricle that the scriptures explain beter then i do.

all is well and its fun being a trainer, i invite all of you to go talk to someone you know and invite them to come unto Christ so that they can recieve this hope of happiness in their lives too.

i love you all!!
 con amor hermana hanson!!
