Whats up family! Another week gone, I really never know what happens to the time, this week was crazy. I got to experience the wedding of the son of maria, who got baptized last week. It was weird. Here they have to get married civilly, it’s a ton of documents and legal stuff and then a do you? And do you? And that’s about it. Not very special kinda sad compared to the temple but they are planning on going to the temple later on. So now ive been to a funeral and a wedding and the hospital and ive looked for apartments. Pretty much im a native. Haha . I was talking to another hermana the other day and we were talking about all of the life changing things that we´ve seen in the last year and its crazy the things we´ve witnessed.
This week we taught eliana, she is the cousin of maria, really maria is related to everyone! But eliana went to maria´s baptism. Maria´s baptism was awesome and the spirit was so strong, so we talked to eliana and asked her about the baptism and she too felt the spirit, she liked the baptism and told us that when she left he had to go to her church and she didn’t feel the urge to go and it made her question if her church is true. It was cool. Not many people say this, or actually question they just are happy being comfortable where they are. We taught her about the restoration and she said she would pray. We haven’t seen her again cuz there was crazyness with the wedding of her cousin. Were not sure if the mom is gonna let her continue because she is evangelista and firm in her faith. We know the mom but we don’t think she is so happy with us teaching her daughter but we are gonna keep trying. Its not often we find people ready to question their beliefs and she has already felt the spirit confirm that he church is different and good!
This has been one of the roughest companionships of the mission so far : ) but we are finally friends, and it makes such a difference in the work. Lots of love and a little patience on both parts, can make miracles happen, along with faith and prayer, lots of faith and prayer. Sometimes I think the greatest miracles I will see on the mission will be in between me and my comps. This is the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there is a reason for everything and a lot of times its to help us learn. Its why we are here on this earth, to learn, so that one day we can be like our Father in Heaven and live with Him and our families forever. The hard times come and they go, we choose what we make of them. Im thankful for all that im learning and to know that my Father in Heaven is watching out for me.
Thanks for your prayers and love . my new favorite scriptures, who would have thought it would be in the bible- 1 john 5:3-15
Con amor!- hermana hanson
