faith in every footstep

ok where to start?.... this week started out great, we  had some awesome lessons and found some new people, the first weeks in this area  wernt rough but just felt unproductive but then we this week was changing that around but then the real world kicked in and missionary bliss took a little break.  ok storyt time.

my comp had appendicitis, yep short story, :) i wish....

it started thurasday, the pain anyway so we went to a dr. but here its not that easy there is alot of waiting involved , he said it was appendicitis, so he sent us to jujuy central, the big city, ( we live in a little town 45 min away)  to do the tests cuz they dont have the stuff to do tests there, you have to go some where else. so we went and had a sonogram, ( but it says that shes ok.)and got a blessing. got home late. but there were other tests  we had to take but by the time we got there it was closed so we had to go back the next day.  friday, we return to jujuy, take the tests then have to find a doctor to read them. more waiting, ( my comp is getting worse but can still walk and laugh meaning not dead yet :) this doc says its appendicitis, but the tests  say now and she wasnt really basing it off of concrete evidence so we didnt let her operate then cuz my comp  didnt have the sypmtoms of appendicitis, just pain in the right spot. so still living we go home friday night. our president called  a bunch of people to find a doctor here who is a member to talk to my comp, then he told us that he has a friend in salta who he wants  us to see. saturday we go to salta, ( 2 hours away) see the doctor, says its appendicitis :) 3 for 3 i guess they  know what they are talking about. :) we get a room and hangout until she has her operation. i will spare the details.... she is recuperating but had to have another operation last night because there was liquid coming from  who knows here chillin in her body, so we are still here in  salta, im on splits with the hermanas here to get away from the hospital, ( it kind of sucks the life out  of you rather then give it back, hmm ironic) things that i have learned... alot more words about the body in spanish, how i am truly grateful for the medicine and hospitals we have in the states; what its like to worry sick about someone, probably good practice for motherhood; and how to have faith in everything we do.

i have truly never been so stressed or tired on the mission as i have been this weekend, but i have never relied so much on the lord. my comp got her first blessing thursday night when it was all starting, and the elder said that she would be fine. and i new it was true, i know that through the  power of the Priesthood our Father in Heaven was blessing my comp, that she would be  ok, so i didnt stress out. she was scared but i didnt feel the fear of the situation or its greatness because i knew that the Lord had told us that she would be alright, and i trust our president that he too knows whats best for her through the power of the Priesthood, i didnt need to believe  the first doctors, who all said she needed to have the operation right then. nor did it scare me, cuz i knew she would be ok. there are alot of reasons why its better that we are here in salta, but had we trusted in men and not Heavenly Father she would be alot worse then she is now.

ive realized how much i love being a missionary, being stuck in a hospital room  watching tv ( we had permission :) cuz my comp cant do much else) sucks the spirit out of you, i didnt realize how bad it had gotten until sunday night i went on splits and taught a couple lessons, i felt the spirit come back, it was normal to teach and i had missed it, its apart of my life now, and i love teaching people about this gospel, it is the only true gospel of Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. i love those sacred moments when i feel the Spitit testify of what we say. i cant fully explain all that i have learned from this experience and its not over yet. but all the doubts that i have ever had about why im here are gone. i love being a missionary and im afraid to loose the authority that i have been set apart with and in 7 months be normal again,  there is a difference and im just barely starting to figure it out. i have been called of God to represent His son Jesus Christ, He has given me the authority to testify of Him. and i have been blessed to wear His name,
im thankful for  all i have been given, and now it is my time to give back. i still have a long way to go. :)

i love you all. thanks for your love and prayers
con mucho amor! hermana hanson
