so saturday went like this, crazy hot in the morning, then cloudy then on our way to the baptisim from across town it started to rain then pour then major thunder and lightning, like none i've ever seen before but we still need to got the the baptisim so we keep treckin, it was so much fun, hahaha the rain was great and they have been having a drought here so it was good, but all the farms are tabacco farms haha so it was also bad. but the people need to work. so then when we get to the church its locked and pricila (15 and the one getting baptized) is across the street waiting in the rain with her family. awesome. but still happy. then we get in and it starts to hail all crazy. during the baptisims nothing, no rain and they went great! then after when we were back out side more rain, but still a good day.
we teach alot and my spanish is still horrible but there are little improvements. pricila is awesome, we are working on her mom to get baptised now. she has been there for every lesson and always agrees with us but doesn't get the difference between our church and her's (she is evangelist). but she has a daughter who died, but we are not supposed to know, so we taught pricila about temples and how she can prepare to go now thats she's a member ( this was yesterday) and my comp talked about baptisms for the dead and her mom perked up, we asked her to pray and make a goal for baptisims, this is called a fetcha, so we gave her a fetcha and she said, something like "after i get baptised i could do baptisims for the dead" :) hehe we said yep and she accepted to pray about it. i love how the gospel is right foreveryone, it really can bless everyone not just anyone in particular.
aww but there was this one guy we talked to he made me cry, well not on purpose, but he didn't believe in God, and this earth was solely to work and then die, and he wasn't grumpy about it that was just life, but he wouldn't even accept the possibility that there was a God. it was harsh, i wanted him to feel loved and have a greater purpose in this life, he was a lost sheep that had lost the will to find its way home. sorry that was the sadest part of my week.
but today was happy so far! :) we had our p-day as a zone, we went to the stake center and had a huge water baloon fight/ capture the flag with water baloons day, we all got a little sunburnt but it was fun. did i mention that there is an elder rose in my district, from gilroy, i think i did but not sure.
the work is good, we hopfull have another baptisim this week, noelia, she really loves the gospel, she gets it and how it will help her life, she just needs to get married, and they are working on it there are just difficulties like always.
it's weird to think that this is my life now, haha but i'm good. i have a sweet tan line from my bangs :) and i get eaten by bugs of some sort every night, but life is good.
my comp asks me to remind you that if you ever send a package to remember that i have a companion :) and i say reeses cups are what i will miss most. and i have been told the first package i get is free. i love you alll!! mom please send this to everyone, i didn't have time to write all the addresses.
